June 29 / the feeding

I watched two female red-wings on the feeder earlier, and fed the vegetables this afternoon.  Aside from the birds and plants, it's been a chores day. 

Common birds: house sparrow, starling, cardinal (pair), robin, grackle, downy woodpecker, goldfinch (pair?)

Summer visitors: red-wing blackbird (female)
